SMART Goal:
The percentage of physical education students scoring proficient or higher in PE vocabulary knowledge will increase from 6.4% to 40% by the first week of March 2011 as measured by the post vocabulary test to be given on March 2nd. (Decrease unsatisfactory scores from 63.3% to 30% by same date and by same means of assessment.)
Strategies utilized to aid in achievement of goal:
· Provide students with a study guide of terminology and it’s usage
· Teach/review 3-4 vocabulary words per week on Wednesday fitness days
· Use terminology with students when referring to specific skills or activities taught within a unit
· Do not allow kids to refer to a skill or activity without using the proper terminology
